An arm lift, known medically as brachioplasty, can reshape your arms to make them more toned, slimmer, and shapelier making it possible for you to wear sleeveless and short-sleeved top once again.
Can Arm lift Help you?
Armlift surgery is commonly performed to reduce excess skin after dramatic weight loss, but it can also firm up arms that age has made saggy. Although the procedure tightens your arm skin, it is not a weight loss tool. Gaining or losing weight after the surgery can significantly alter your results. It is best performed when patients have achieved a stable weight close to their ideal.
Arm lift Procedure
An arm lift is typically performed at a fully accredited Medical centre/Hospital surgical facility. The surgical procedure can be completed in about 1-3 hours depending on the amount of tissue to be removed and the overall length of the incision.
The incisions run on the under-side of the arms where scars can be seen only if the arms are lifted then liposuction is used to remove any excess fat and excess skin is trimmed. Surgical drainage tubes are sometimes placed under the skin to help remove extra tissue fluid that can accumulate in the days after the surgery. A compression garment over the arms is a must nice it helps support the tissues as they heal.
The recovery time from an arm lift is 1-2 weeks, and strenuous activity should be avoided for 4-6 weeks. It is recommended that the surgical compression garment should be worn for a few weeks after surgery and to keep arms elevated to reduce swelling.
I had three major procedures (Armlift, Facelift and Eyelid surgery) in four days and stayed three weeks post surgery for regular check ups. No pain after the operations. Excellent care and follow-up. Very pleased with the overall results looking younger but still very natural.
